Position InformationJob DescriptionThe Department of the Treasury is an innovative, customer-driven, results-oriented state agency providing financial management services for the Commonwealth. We offer challenging and interesting work and a friendly and positive environment.We are seeking a Programmer Analyst to support the agency mission through the development and maintenance of agency systems under the direction of the Director of Information Systems. The selected candidate will provide programming, technical, and user support for the agencies applications. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of continuity of operations and disaster documentation and planning for the Treasury Information Systems. The incumbent will also provide backup administration and technical support to the other agency programmers and web administrators. To be successful, you must have considerable knowledge in the languages listed below and the ability to interact with all levels of agency users and managers.Minimum Qualifications

Extensive experience with writing, delivering, and supporting object oriented enterprise level multi-user Windows and web applications.

Demonstrated mature programming skills, and analysis, and application certification.

Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, analyze data, and identify/define business rules.

Demonstrated experience with version control and continuous integration tools.

Demonstrated experience writing and maintaining system documentation.

Considerable experience with the software development lifecycle including waterfall, agile and other methodologies.

Considerable experience using the following technologies: .NET, Visual Studio, MVC, VBA, ASP, IIS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, SQL Server, XML, Windows and Web Services, console applications

Extensive experience in relational database design using MS SQL Server and development, including T-SQL, SQL Server stored procedures and SQL Server Integration Services.

Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization, both internal and external to the agency.

Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision, either independently or on a team.

Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field
