Our Government client is looking for an experienced

Web Content Specialist on a 4 -6 months renewable contract role in

Richmond, VA.

Position: Web Content Specialist
This person will be working on the CMS (T4) with the business to help them publish content. They will be creating templates and consulting on good UI/UX decisions.
-This position will be working closely with the communication team.
-This position will be the primary resource for new templates, plug-ins, graphics work, and assistance with content changes.
-In addition to supporting the agency website (external), this resource will work with the development team improving UI/UX on our internal and external facing applications.
-A background in accessibility and ADA 508 compliance is a strong plus.
-Some of the server and PHP skills are a secondary consideration.
- This resource could be asked to manage small projects with executive level employees. They will need excellent communication skills including writing and editing public facing content.
Top Skills
-T4 or other content management experience.
-Experience implementing third party plug-ins and JavaScript plug ins in T4 or other content management systems (WordPress).
-Excellent communication skills including writing and editing public facing content.
-Experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
Secondary Skills
-Graphic design
-Adobe MySQL Certified Expert (a plus, not required)
-PHP
-Responsive and Mobile Design
-Experience managing small projects with executive level employees
-Experience managing social media presence for a large organization
-Marketing and SEO
-Able to troubleshoot and fix site and server issues

Required / Desired Skills
  • 5 years of T4 or other content management experience Required
  • 5 years of Experience implementing third party plug-ins in T4 or other content management systems (WordPress) Required
  • 5 years of Experience implementing JavaScript plug-ins in T4 or other content management systems (WordPress) Required
  • 5 years of Experience with graphic design Required
  • 5 years of Responsive and mobile design experience Required
  • 5 years of Experience coding HTML5, CSS3 Required
  • 5 years of Experience with Javascript Required
  • 1 years of Marketing experience and an understanding of SEO Highly desired
  • 1 year of background in accessibility and ADA 508 compliance Highly desired
