SALES COORDINATOR
Job Description
The Berkeley Hotel seeks a Sales Coordinator who is responsible for booking wedding and social events as well as providing support and assistance to the Sales Manager to reach departmental and individual booking goals Duties will include but not be limited to managing client calls, assisting with hotel tours, functioning as point of contact for catering functions, providing inside sales support and clerical and administrative duties. We seek a candidate who is able to manage multiple projects, proficient in Hotel Sales Pro,Microsoft Office, familiar with social media platforms, and an ability to work on other web based programs. She/he will also work with a program called Hotel Sales Pro to assist with Catering functions and client management.
Duties and Responsibilities Communicate with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner. ì Be a "team player" and assist all team members doing what's right on behalf of The Berkeley Hotel. ì Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working Comply at all times with company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations Answer telephone, direct calls, take and relay messages and return calls Responsible for responding to, and coordinating all catering inquiriesConduct introductory telephone calls to prospects and leads Input data into database Provide administrative support as assigned by the Sales Manager Manage existing files and create new ones as needed. Greet clients, conduct hotel tours in a friendly and professional manner periodically review departmental reader files for correct use of form letters Maintain adequate supplies for copy, fax and postage machines and coordinate repair services Assist all departments in creation of collateral for special promotional projects
Ability to sell within social and SMERF markets
Detailing banquet event orders
Serve as an on-site contact for in-house groups
Generate weekly productivity reports, maintaining LNR account updates and tracking points for Friends of The Berkeley
Produce daily welcome letters and coordinate amenities
Schedules tastings with social groups to sell and upsell catering
Must have a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
Qualifications: Education & Experience: Experience in a hotel or related industry helpful College course work in related field helpful High school diploma or equivalent required Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications necessary Order office suppliesAttend meetings/training as required by management Perform other duties as requested from management Must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
