Job Description:
Position is responsible for short and long term planning, financial performance and the management of the Food & Beverage operations in the front and back of the house
Develops and recommends the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
Monitor performance of the restaurant through analysis of guest feedback and financial reports; initiating corrective action
Manage the human resources within the division. Direct and oversee recruitment and development of employees; hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews, resolve conflict through fair treatment policy, discipline and terminate, as appropriate
Market the restaurant and bar; develop and manage the implementation of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations and presentations to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market to meet/exceed sales and financial goals and objectives
Adhere to established policies, standards and procedures that are required at all times in order to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate policies and procedures and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals
Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the food and beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect the asset, comply with regulations and ensure quality service
Oversee & enforce all Hotel policies as outlined in the Employee Guidebook. Including progressive discipline in all areas of the operation when standards are not met
Responsible for daily line-up meetings, weekly management meetings, & monthly employee meetings in order to maintain ongoing, productive communication
Job Requirements:
Candidates will have 3-5 years of Food and Beverage General Management experience
Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food & beverage/hospitality profession. This includes the knowledge required for management of people, complex problems and food and beverage management
Ability to deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse angry situations and collect accurate information in order to resolve conflicts
He/she must possess the following strengths: high energy, motivational leader, effective communicator, desire to provide exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
Have a passion for delivering guests an over the top dining experience with an exceptionally service oriented personality and the ability to make recommendations for food and wine to enhance our guests dining experience
