Child Care/Care Attendant Great for student or empty nester.
We have a crazy and fun house and need some help with the care of our children. We have two children that have special needs and require constant love and attention. This is a very flexible job that is great for college students that are interested in going into education, nursing, case management, physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy (although this is not required). Responsibilities listed involve caring for one of our girls at a time - there are typically two caregivers in the home. The job involves helping with their daily needs including preparing and helping at them eat their meals, toileting, bathing, working on specific goals and light house work (some lifting required). We also encourage community participation and want them out participating in community events, church, sports, shopping and going to parks.
Keeping them safe and teaching them to be as independent as possible is our top priority and of coarse their joy and happiness. The shifts available for the rest of the summer are typically 12:30 -8:30pm Monday -Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm Friday. Starting 9/2 shift available are 3:30-8:30 Mon-Friday . Weekend shifts are 10-6 on Saturday's and 9:30-5:30 on Sunday's. Sometimes there are overnight shifts available. This is a very flexible job when it comes to shifts and we will work with students and their schedules. Pay is $9.40 - $11.50 per hour to care for one child. We live in Hanover County. Must be 18 or older and have own transportation. Criminal background checks and TB testing are required if hired.
