Disaster Property Lead Restoration Technician position will be working with our Restoration Department and will be attending to a variety of both residential and commercial disaster sites who are experiencing some sort of Water, Fire, Mold and Odor-related disaster. The responsibilities will include anything from setting out drying equipment to pulling up damaged carpet. This position offers variety in both the job setting as well as job duties. This position requires a very flexible work schedule, however, the primary schedule will be daytime hours, 7am 4pm. The employee will be working approx. 5 days a week with 2 days off each week. The days off may rotate. Also, the schedule will include an on-call rotation, which will be approximately every other week. We would prefer previous cleaning experience but will train the right applicant as well.
The ideal candidate will be focused dedicated, take initiative, be organized, keep a clean working environment, and have a great attitude.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Providing the following water damage services in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings:
Water pumping and extraction
Mold containment
Baseboard & carpet cushion removal
Carpet seam cutting
Peeling, securing, and removing base and trim boards
Specialty drying (hardwood, plaster, etc.)
Moving & re-setting contents
Setting drying equipment
Other possible activities:
Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
Maintaining vehicles in clean serviceable condition
Constructing polyethylene enclosures
Removing and disposing of debris
Maintaining equipment
Lead development of water damage scopes of work and project management, including:
Determining water category and class
Moisture mapping
Equipment specification and sizing
Use of IR cameras & moisture instruments
Desiccant and heat equipment drying
Temporary power & HVAC use in drying
Complete accident, injury, & incident reporting forms
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, Possess sense of urgency and strong work ethic
Frequent lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
Access and mobility in tight spaces
Eligible to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to identify potential site hazards (asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.)
Experience with site-specific safety plans
Attention to detail and a keen sense of safeguarding other people’s property
Familiarity with chemical products including use, disposal, and Material Safety Data Sheets
Willing to work nights and weekends when requested
Periodic travel
A valid Driver License is required!
