RPM Kwicksilver of Richmond and Fredricksburg locations is looking for immediate hire for experienced wheel repair manager, technicians and apprentices.

If you love automobiles, have the ability to work with your hands, like to deal directly with the customer and take pride in your work, you just might have what it takes to be a successful wheel repair technician.

Our wheel repair technicians operate out of a retail and or Mobile Reconditioning Facility. We service dealerships, collision centers, tire stores, auto auctions, rental agencies, automotive enthusiasts and any business that services the automobile industry. Our services include the repairing of cosmetically damaged wheels, wheel straightening, replacement wheels and custom painted wheels. The typical repair takes about one hour and we offer a limited lifetime warranty on our craftsmanship.

The typical work week is Monday thru Friday 9am-6pm with weekends and most major holidays off.

Entry level apprenticeship applicants are welcome, and there is a training period of approximately two months.

Job Responsibilities:

Safely jack up vehicles and remove wheels

Inspect wheels to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects

Sand, mask, clean and prep finish

Mix paints to specified color using standard formulas or color charts

Paint surfaces of wheels using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques

Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., provide technical assistance to helpers, orient and train new employees, etc.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate

Administrative:

Complete required paperwork and submit according to company procedures

Maintain tools in good working condition

Maintain inventory of all job related materials i.e. paint, invoices, etc

Return all calls, pages, etc. on a timely basis

Follow company procedures, policies and practices at all times

Qualifications:

1 - 2 years auto painting, detailing or related experience preferred

Effective communication and interaction skills required

Excellent organizational skills required

Valid Driver's License and good driving record required
