Chesterfield Auto Parts - Midlothian location is a self service or pick-your-part type salvage yard. This location offers truck, SUV, and van parts. We are now hiring for the following positions:
Full time Auto Parts Sales Counter position:
We are looking to add to our friendly and knowledgeable staff to help our customers find the car parts they want and provide excellent customer service. Parts sales hours are Monday Thursday 9am-5pm and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8am-7pm. The position is approximately 40 hours per week and includes some weekends. Opportunity for growth and advancement for the right person.
The position entails:
- Assisting customers with finding the parts they want
- Performing computerized parts interchange searches
- Instructing the customer on where the vehicle is located in our field
- Offering warranties and telling the customers about our 5-Star program and labor services
- Offering aftermarket new parts sales if we dont have the part they are wanting
- Ringing up their purchases and perform other register operations
- Answer calls from customers quickly and professionally
- Retrieving wheel barrels and trash pick-up in the parking lot
- Keeping showroom safe, neat and clean
- Other odd jobs as assigned
Qualifications and skills needed are:
- Must be a motivated self-starter with great customer service skills
- Basic math skills for cashier duties and counting money
- Some familiarity with computers helpful, but will train the right person
- Ability to greet customers with a positive and professional demeanor; make them feel welcome and build a rapport with them
- Ability to prioritize and multitask with good organizational skills
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to manage a fast paced work environment of parts calls and counter support for our customers
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time and lift over 30 pounds
- Basic knowledge of auto/motor parts preferred
- Previous experience in customer service preferred but will train the right person
- Must believe in being on time, hard work and have good work ethic
- Must be reliable and dependable on scheduled work days
Additional Requirements:
-Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
-Must be willing to work, show up on time, and have a positive attitude. Attendance Is very important!
