Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer in the State of Virginia, is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to be based out of our corporate office in Roanoke, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the accurate and efficient collection and processing of survey data, management of mine plans, calculation of month-end inventories, field surveying, and other assignments within CAD or other engineering software.
Candidates must possess the following:
High school diploma, with previous experience in related field preferred
Experience in Computer Aided Design (CAD), preferably in Carlson packages
Experience in GPS and conventional surveying required
Experience with Drone surveying preferred.
Ability to understand and maintain engineering designs
Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
Knowledge of survey equipment and supplies inventory
Ability to obtain an FAA UAV license
Ability to quickly learn to operate drone survey equipment
