Boring Contractors, Inc. is a highway and utility construction company looking for a superintendent to manage a construction crew in Roanoke and surrounding counties. This would require overseeing $200,000 to $2 million jobs with a crew of 3-7 workers, coordinating all equipment and personnel from the beginning of a job to completion. You will also have to keep detailed reports of progress made and equipment used. You will be provided with a company truck to fulfill your duties. Listed below are types of jobs you will complete and requirements for this position.
Types of jobs you will oversee from start to finish:
-Culvert install, repair, and/or replace
-Building rural roads and turnarounds
-Slope grading and stabilization
-Grading and construction of disposal sites
-Clean up of landslide material, woody debris, and other storm damage
-Repairing existing storm drains or installing new ones
-Shaping and repairing drainage systems
-Cofferdam installation
Requirements:
-Previous work as a superintendent for a construction company
-Experience operating equipment
-Work closely with VDOT regulations and inspectors
-Valid drivers license
