As a maintenance technician for our property management company your service is often what makes or breaks our company's reputation with our tenants. Your demeanor and the quality of your work is what tenants will remember and tell others about.
The ideal candidate is excellent at working independently, enjoys dealing with the public, knows how to handle tenants who at times are having a bad day and has the skills to do things like fix/replace faucets, unclog drains, change light fixtures, smoke detectors, blinds, paint, drywall etc in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS (meaning not optional):
Previous experience in residential maintenance REQUIRED
-Extra helpful- drywall, painting, cleaning, plumbing previous work.
-Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
-Previous use of a drain snake
-Familiarity with all aspects of basic plumbing (they will be questioned in an interview about basic situations we face)
-Good driving record
-Professional image
-Ability to handle physical workload
-Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with tenants and staff through email and text
Pays $15 an hour plus OT for after-hours calls.
Standard hours are 8:30 to 5:00 with a half hour for lunch
