Our business helps supporttheir way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrivedin a challenging environment.Job Summary:Engineering Technician I is responsible for supporting a varietyof tasking to include cabling,fabrication,assembly,and installation of equipment.This positioncompletes simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailedprocedures.Thisposition requires the ability to work within a team environment, in the fieldor in a lab/office environment. Assemble or construct simple or standardequipment or parts; and services or repairs simple instruments or equipment,which may require simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.Responsibilities:

Preforms installation, repairs, painting and general upkeep inmaintaining shipboard systems to ensure continuance of communication systemsusing specialty machines and equipment.

Assists in the repair and maintaining of electrical, electronic and RFcommunications equipment as needed.

Comprehend and execute tasking of moderate complexity with supervision.

Comprehension and hands on application of NAVSEA installationstandards and Military Specifications for shipboard C4ISR systemsinstallations.

Interpret technical drawings or publications in order to executea specific task.

Travel to job sites as required by the PM and IAW the Joint Federal TravelRegulations (JFTR).

Performs other duties as assigned.

Movingand un-crating of equipment.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience working with C4ISR and or C5ISR Systems

Ability to use a computer (email, basic office applications)

Shipboard installation or maintenance experience

C4ISR Experience and C5ISR Systems

Familiarity and competence with hand tools

Ability to gain and maintain access to shipyards and government facilities as required by contract

Ability to work in a shipboard environment

Works well within a team environment

Must be a US citizen

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Applicants also must be willing to work more than 40 hour workweeks

Ability to work in a shipboard industrial environment

Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)

Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
