Nestled beside a bubbling brook down in a secluded valley surrounded by a pristine, heavily wooded green forest - our humongous, 380 acre, 29 year old Appalachian 'No-Kill' Animal Sanctuary (dba Christopher Robin Farms) seeks ONE more energetic 'team member' to live and work at our 'no-kill' sanctuary for unwanted, abandoned dogs, cats, horses, chickens (and soon, other 'farm' animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, goats, etc.) that we've rescued over the many years.
Your ongoing responsibilities and numerous skills to be utililzed would primarily include helping us with the daily feeding, watering, care and supervision of the 150 or so animals already here plus other assorted daily tasks - such as administering medication, taking animals to the vet, 'poop scooping', putting out fresh straw, picking up dog and cat food a couple times weekly, running errands in town - indeed, the list goes on and on. Absolutely any kind of work background and experience you have will prove useful here at some point! Truly, it's an 'animal lovers' dream job! And, in return for your compassionate care and concern, you will be provided with your very own rustic house or living quarters (our farm house is even being worked on right now, awaiting installation of a new septic system); both available houses have fenced-in yards. Plus, your monthly utility needs are paid for (including electric, water, garbage removal, etc.) in addition to internet access. And, on top of all of that - an additional 'tax free' $100 - $200 per week starting pay (possibly more money, depending upon your past training or experience) - altogether, a total compensation package that easily exceeds $1,500 - $2,000 per month. Too, you don't even have to put down a 'damage' deposit! Furthermore, your personal pets are more than welcome (sorry, no children though)! And, on top of all of this - you will also qualify for 'supplemental food assistance' of anywhere from $100 - $180 monthly, plus, free health and medical care and provided heat assistance through the government if you so choose to sign up for it.
