orfor a region or line of business supporting a regional or Line of Business leader;

orfor a client supporting a Client Account leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the planning and execution of the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting. Establishes overall departmental priorities and ensures that all deadlines are met.Assists Executive Management with setting direction for the business. Reviews input from staff and business leaders to assist with strategic planning process. Provides commentary and guidance to finance management and business leaders with respect to strategic initiatives.Works closely with Operations to support other initiatives in the business which could include but is not limited to: pricing, global reporting, strategic analytics with a focus on improving margins and identifying opportunities in the business for growth.Ensures complete knowledge of monthly results. Directs staff in preparation of results presentation to senior finance management. Assists in presentation of results to senior finance management and business leaders.Manages special projects and prepares presentations for senior management.Facilitates review and approval of capex projects in accordance with the company approval guidelines and capital request processes as well as acquisition earn-outs / deferred purchase payment obligations. Reviews submissions from the businesses and presents to executive management for approval.Assesses staffing levels and skill sets to evaluate department needs. Identifies and provides development opportunities for staff.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires a minimum of eight years related experience to include at least three years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Public accounting experience preferred.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESCPA or MBA (graduate degree) preferred, but not required (depending on experience).COMMUNICATION SKILLSExcellent oral and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, business people and management. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to effectively interact with management, employees, auditors, etc. and respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports and manuals using distinctive style. Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees department budget. Broad, in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts. SEC reporting experience desired (depending on the specific finance role).REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESStrong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired (particularly HFM Consolidation, PeopleSoft Financials and Cognos Planning). Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful. Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and work streams. Strong work ethic and adaptable.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.Colorado Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance Director position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Director position is $191,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
