Local Middleburg company is seeking an accounting/office assistant. Position will be responsible for all aspects of accounts payable and assisting the Accounting Manager and Owners as needed. Position interfaces with multiple departments and company ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews invoices for proper approvals and required documents
Records invoices in company accounting system Quickbooks
Prints checks and verify with appropriate invoice; obtain signatures
Maintains files for paid and unpaid invoices.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Assist Management as necessary.
Assist in monthly closings.
Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
Perform filing, copying and scanning.
Processes Purchase Orders as needed.
Preform general office duties as required (ex: ordering supplies, travel arrangements, etc)
Qualifications:
Practical accounting experience in a corporate environment (particularly involving accounts payable) or accounting degree
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Able to independently prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
Attention to detail; thorough in execution and consistently accurate.
Good communication skills
