MEDICAL ASSISTANT- PEDIATRICS
Western Loudoun Pediatrics in Purcellville, VA is looking for a friendly and professional medical assistant who can work with kids and enjoys a small office environment, for a combined Front Office / Back Office position.
Front Office Responsibilities include:
Greeting patients and families in a warm, personal and professional manner
Answering phones, scheduling appointments and taking messages
Registering patients and updating demographic information
Performing insurance validation and appointment reminders
Scanning documents into the Electronic Medical Record
Back Office Responsibilities include:
Taking vitals and measurements
Rooming patients
Administering vaccines, medications and treatments
Preparing specimens to send out to labs
Placing phone calls to families regarding lab results and messages from the physician
Calling in prescriptions
Documentation in the Electronic Medical Record
Preparation of exam rooms
Supply and vaccine inventory
The position covers both Front and Back Office and applicants should have experience in both.
Hours are M-F 8-5.
Applicant must be personable, professional, flexible, reliable and a self-starter with good attention to detail. Pediatric and EMR experience are desired but not mandatory. Completion of Medical Assistant training is required, MA certification or more advanced certification is preferred.
