Established, locally-owned, Property Management Company looking for an energetic and dedicated person to join our team as a Full Charge Bookkeeper/ Accountant. This position is an integral part of our daily operations. We heavily rely on Quickbooks and Appfolio for our software needs; experience with Quickbooks required, experience with Appfolio desired. Bookkeeping Expectations and Responsibilities:

- Manage financial data for multiple related, but separate, business entities

- Accounts Receivable - recording of rents and late fees, late statements, collections, etc.

- Accounts Payable - data entry of invoices, reconciliation to statements, coding to proper GL account

- General Ledger - reconciliations, journal entries, month-end and possibly year-end

adjustments and reports to CPA; candidate with strong GL understanding and experience highly desired

- Build and /or Maintain Complex spreadsheets

-Payroll - semi-monthly paycheck processing, tax payments, quarterly and annual reporting, W2's and 1099's

-Quarterly Excise Tax Reports

Administrative Expectations and Responsibilities:

- Manage tenant communications regarding rents, collections, and requests for information

- Contact and assist vendors with various questions regarding payments, invoicing, etc.

- Filing and file maintenance

- Answer phones as needed

- Run errands as needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

-Must have a degree in accounting or related field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but will consider Associate’s degree with additional experience.

- Must understand accounting principles and have a minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience. Must be current and have at least 3 years’ experience in Quickbooks. Must have extensive proficiency with accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll. We also desire a candidate proficient in monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and preparation of books for annual tax returns.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, and especially Excel

- Experience working with Google's Gmail and Google Calendar

- Skilled in Quickbooks, and preferably Appfolio (though not required)

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, necessary for dealing with tenants, colleagues and owners

- Must be well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy, flexible, creative, out of the box problem solving.

- Excellent phone skills and customer service, handle tenant requests.

- Must be able to multitask and prioritize duties and projects to meet deadlines, and work as an integral member of a team.

- Trustworthy with an outstanding reputation of integrity and confidentiality.

- Must have valid driver's license. Background check is required.

Work Schedule :

Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Up to one hour unpaid lunch.
