Industrial Engineer

ROLE:ÂThe Industrial Engineer shall reflect the goals and objectives as stated in the LDI Statement of Purpose. Coordinate and oversee the successful implementation of capital and continuous improvement projects. Foster healthy communication across stakeholders, with thorough planning, analysis and tracking of each project.

HOURS:ÂMonday-Friday, full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and drive mechanical and process flow projects to completion that supports the needs of organization.

Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components.

Plan, budget, drive, oversee, and document all aspects of assigned and approved projects.

Work closely with management to maintain project scope and direction, maintaining urgency to accomplish project objectives and monitoring timelines for all work items.

Practice self-management, team participation and/or team leadership depending on the needs of the project.

Obtains project quotes, recommends vendors or contractors for project needs, and directs contractor to achieve the timely and accurate project completion.

Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.

Prepare product and project reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

Mechanical aptitude and skills paired with a continuous improvement mentality.

Ability to develop and maintain an engaged project team, providing and managing communication to all levels of the organization.

Willing to spend an extended amount of training time (up to 6 months) working on the factory floor.

A passion for serving others and communicating respectfully, clearly, and directly.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Â

BSC in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related degree program or equivalent work experience.
