Front Desk Agent
Job Summary
To assist each guest during check-in as well as check-out. To ensure that each guest has a pleasant stay and that all needs and expectations are met in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications
⢠2 years customer service experience (preferably in a previous hotel/hospitality)
⢠High School education or equivalent
⢠Strong verbal and written communication skills
⢠Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote)
⢠Experience working with Opera (preferred)
⢠Upbeat and friendly attitude
⢠Comfortable handling all forms of payment
⢠Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
⢠Must be able to stand and walk for several hours at a time
⢠Flexible availability, willing to adjust to various shifts depending on business needs, we are open 365 days a year, 24hrs a day!
Responsibilities
⢠Checking guests In and Out
⢠Making reservations (in person, on the phone, from Synxis)
⢠Answering the phone in a professional manner
⢠Answering guestsâ questions
o Places to eat
o Things to do or see while in Bellingham
o How to get around town.
⢠Filling the flyers by the stair entrance to the garage
⢠Calling taxisâ for guests
⢠Keeping the front desk clean and presentable
⢠Maintain the cleanliness of the lobby
⢠Upsell the hotel to potential guests and clients
⢠Has a âcan-doâ attitude and responds pleasantly and promptly to guest needs.
⢠Willing to assist in performing extra tasks and duties as assigned.
⢠Demonstrates sound judgement when facing unexpected situations.
⢠Assisting with luggage as necessary â every Front Desk Agent doubles as a BellHop!
