Job Title: Tap Room Manager
Reports To: General Manager
Position Type: Full Time, Salaried
Shift: Average work week is between 40 and 55 hours. The Tap Room Manger will be available to fill in for shifts as needed.
Education Requirement:
Cicerone Certification preferred or willing to obtain certification within the first year.
Age Requirement:
21 or above
Work Experience:
Previous experience working in the food or beverage industry including management experience.
Position Summary:
The Tap Room Manager will be responsible for all Front-of-House operations including personnel management, customer satisfaction, as well as departmental planning and organizing for both locations.
The Taproom Manager ensures smooth operation of the taprooms by making sure that the taprooms are appropriately staffed, that bartenders and servers have everything they need to successfully and efficiently complete their tasks, that the taproom environments are comfortable, that the beers are at their absolute best, and that unforeseen needs are addressed quickly.
The Tap Room Manager is an integral part of the management team and a representative for Kulshan brands. This position is responsible for upholding company values while ensuring our standards of quality and service to staff and customers are met.
Qualification and Requirements:
-Proven leadership experience including the ability to lead and motivate a team
-Excellent communication skills
-Positive attitude and ability to communicate clearly, with professionalism and enthusiasm to both customers and staff at all times
-Must thrive in a fast-paced, customer service environment
-Must be able to participate in critical assessment of beers
-Ability to accurately and concisely describe beer flavors and characteristics to others
-Demonstrated success in process improvement and initiative
-Ability to lift or move heavy objects
-Ability to work in stressful situations while providing excellent customer service
-Strong decision-making ability and sense of responsibility
-Ability to understand and analyze sales data
-Comprehensive knowledge of the local liquor laws, health codes, and public safety

Job Description
The Taproom Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Provide exceptional customer service
-Lead, manage and motivate a retail team to provide a great experience at our breweries
-Deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers in a professional manner
-Oversee recruitment, training and evaluations for Front-of-House staff
-Manage and maintain accuracy and functionality of the point-of-sale system and the inventory system
-Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of draft equipment and coolers, with ability to troubleshoot
-Work bartending or serving shifts as needed
-Opening of the tap rooms and cash handling/cash drawer setup on weekends
-Answering questions, greeting guests, maintaining a clean and welcoming retail space and providing an amazing experience at our breweries
-Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation of retail operations and beer gardens
-Manage Janitorial Staff
-Manage Front-of-House staff schedules
-Manage our food truck schedules and ensure insurance certificates are up to date
-Assist the Events Coordinator with in-house events. This position requires participation with the “Events Committee” on a regular basis
-Staff development, team building, and continuing education
-Persistent consideration for process improvement
-Work with Head Brewer, Operations Manager, Warehouse Supervisor and others to plan beer availability and allocations for retail
-Manage budgets and control costs.
-Provide content for our social media director (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc)
-Tap Room supplies ordering for both locations including guest beers, cider, soda, glassware, toiletries, paper products, gift cards and merchandise
-Be interesting, energetic, and have the ability to love what you do everyday
