ABOUT BELLINGHAM WEDDING & EVENT RENTALS:
Bellingham Wedding & Event Rentals is a team of professionals providing party rental equipment for weddings, events, private parties, corporate parties, non-profit organizations, and all kinds of other events, large or small. We are preparing for our upcoming busy season and will be filling delivery driver positions as regular part-time and/or seasonal basis.
We're looking for responsible, reliable, punctual and energetic Delivery Team Members to join our team as key players in our small, local, family-run business. Our delivery drivers will load, transport and drop off various orders. The job requires lifting, carrying and walking. Must be able to lift 100+ lbs., have a clean driving record, and available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; and, flexibility to work other odd days/hours from time to time.
JOB SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience as a delivery driver is an asset. Training will teach you everything you need to know to succeed on the job. There are a few skills you should have, as well as some requirements:
-Need to be at least 18 years old
-Clean driving record (insurable 2-year driving history) and a valid driver's license
-Ability to lift heavy equipment 100+ lbs. frequently
-Knowledge of the driving area or keen sense of direction with ability to effectively use GPS
-Basic math skills
-Reliable and punctual
-Friendly demeanor
-Good verbal communication skills
-Flexible schedule
-Show respect for policies and procedures
-Strong work ethic, work hard quickly and efficiently
-Dress the part: We'll provide you with a uniform - we just ask that you keep it clean and come to work wearing it
-Personal cell phone
-Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition
-The desire to work as part of a team and enthusiasm for learning
-Prior experience a plus, but not necessary
-A commercial license is not required for the position
WHAT YOULL DO
-Load and unload heavy equipment (Lifting 100+ lbs.) according to load sheets and delivery schedule
-Provide delivery and pick-up services in Whatcom County and Skagit County areas
-Operate a 14-foot box truck with automatic transmission, which does not require a CDL
-Provide the highest-quality customer service to our clients, while representing our brand
-Successfully work as a key part of a dynamic team
-Follow the direction of your supervisors
-Maintain safety standards at all times, while adhering to our policies and procedures
