Whatcom Hills Waldorf School is seeking an Advancement Coordinator to provide leadership for the development work in our school. We are looking for a colleague to guide us in further developing systems within the school to support major gifting, business partnerships, grants, and planned giving activities. This position will engage stakeholders who are aligned with our values, such as inspiration, respect, integrity, and gratitude.
Qualities and Experience:
Demonstrated experience and achievement in fund development, both short-term (e.g. Annual Giving/Auction) and long-term (e.g. Capital Campaign/Planned Giving
Experience supervising volunteers and ability to train, facilitate, and support volunteers
Able to multi-task, take initiative, delegate tasks, and work independently
Willing to develop knowledge of and relationships within the greater Bellingham community
Friendly, courteous presentation; work well with diverse individuals and groups
Enjoy meeting people; sincere, upbeat and personable, with professional appearance
Excellent communicator, careful listener, articulate writer and speaker
Willing to learn about and embrace Waldorf education to be able to convey the the philosophy and curriculum meaningfully to others
Aware of other educational approaches, programs, and local public and private schools
Strong organizational, time management, and computer skills
