Healthy Pet is currently looking for a Maintenance II (EIC) to join our team!

Our ideal candidate will work to maintain machines, equipment and facilities as required; ensuring a safe environment and efficient production operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs preventative maintenance and scheduled repairs, as assigned.

Prepares and installs machinery and equipment including VFD’s, PLC’s, low voltage controls, 3-phase 480V, motors, and other wiring.

Install, maintain and calibrate all pneumatic/electronic instrumentation.

Observes machine operation to detect work-piece defects or machine malfunction.

Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and makes adjustments.

Tracks and reviews machine maintenance and preventative maintenance in COGZ Maintenance Management Software.

Operates equipment needed to perform duties and responsibilities, including all mobile equipment.

Reads and interprets machine and equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Carries a phone on an alternating basis, when assigned to be on-call. Promptly responds to calls and appropriately addresses issues.

Trains temporary and other staff as assigned.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED.

Associates degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.

Four years of related production maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Electrical experience.

Experience with PLCs, Allen Bradley.

Must possess a valid driver’s license at time of hire and throughout employment.

Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders. Understand and apply appropriately terminology, instructions, policies, procedures, legal requirements and regulations.

Troubleshoot and apply sound judgment, logical thinking, analytical and problem-solving techniques to obtain solutions to problems. Develop ways to improve and promote efficient work methods.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Uses appropriate safety equipment and follows established safety policies, practices and procedures.

Works in a production and warehouse setting. Sits or stands for long periods of time and may work in an environment with some discomfort due to temperature fluctuation. May occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

May occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Works near noisy machinery and moving mechanical parts and equipment. Regularly exposed to vibration.

Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. Possibility of exposure to a variety of environmental and chemical allergens standard to the area of assignment.
