Full Time Receptionist/Office Assistant

Location: Automotive shop in Burlington, WA

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with a one hour lunch break.

Pay: Hourly - $13-$15 an hour, based upon experience. Wage increase after 6 month review.

Benefits: Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, Vacation after 1 year employment.

Duties and Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):

As a receptionist/office assistant you will be the first point of contact for the company and you will provide administrative support for all team members. You will greet and converse with customers, answer phones and take detailed messages. You will create and maintain appointment scheduling. The receptionist will keep the waiting area neat and inviting, keeping the guest bathroom clean and stocked. You will also be responsible for other general cleaning duties such as windows and floors through the office. You will create customer work orders upon arrival and create invoices for completed jobs. You will collect customer payments and run credit cards. You will need to perform general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning and faxing. We are looking for someone that is comfortable handling accounts payable, bank reconciliations and payroll. We are a small company, so these duties will be minor. You will be asked to help with ordering supplies and inventory, and keeping these organized. You will be responsible for maintaining the company email and knowing how to respond or file each message. For the first 3-6 months you will work side by side with our office manager, being trained on all of the above duties and responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate:

We are seeking someone that can multitask and learn new duties quickly. Experience and/or knowledge in the automotive industry is a plus. Someone that is flexible, organized, and has a positive attitude. You will be handling confidential information, so we expect you to be honest, trustworthy and have integrity. We need a team player that is friendly and has excellent oral and written communication skills. You should be able to change gears repeatedly during the work day, prioritize tasks, work independently, as well as follow instruction. We desire someone with a willingness to assist wherever needed.

Qualifications/Experience:

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have good phone etiquette, be organized, attentive to detail, highly self-motivated, dependable, and able to lift up to 30 lbs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel is a must. You should be comfortable with running multiple computer programs at once. Prior experience in payroll and accounting with QuickBooks is an asset.
