Job Description
Hoagtech Hydroponics provides supplies to indoor/outdoor gardeners and cultivators. We strive to provide the best service and prices in our industry.
Our business is growing and looking for qualified candidates to expand with us.
We are actively searching for a store manager to run operations in a retail storefront while we transition to a larger warehouse where we will receive freight and service our commercial clients.
Based in Bellingham, Wa.
Responsibilities
Coordinating and supervising employees on staff.
Covering all essential opening/closing shifts and duties.
Ensure all basic items for resale are in stock.
Maintain accurate price margins and sales incentives.
Track customer special orders
Essential Functions:
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments and transactions are accurate
Maintain a clean; neat, and orderly work area; ensure all security policies and procedures are followed
Plan work schedules and assign duties
Evaluate employee performance and prepare performance appraisals
Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics, such as safety
Resolve personnel problems, complaints, or formal grievances when possible, or refer them to higher-level supervisors for resolution
Other duties as requested
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
HS Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred
3+ years supervisory or warehouse experience or a bachelors degree
forklift certification
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform the same work duties as those supervised or performs more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance
Ability to supervise employees
Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Ability to communicate effectively with variety of individuals
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and judgment in communicating with staff
Respond appropriately to criticism from a manager
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Must have very strong customer service orientation with high sense of urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines
