Medical Sales Manager
The Medical Sales Manager is primarily responsible for establishing and continuously developing the relationship with primary customer clinical targets (Primary Care and Family Practice physicians, Naturopaths, Wholistic Medical Providers, Wellness professionals, and midwives), primary toxicological targets (Local Businesses, Attorneys, Private Investigators, youth counselors, drug rehabilitation programs, and others in need of drug and alcohol screening), and individuals interested in monitoring their health in the greater Bellingham area. Must be able to develop new and emerging income streams.
The Position Reports to the Owner and works closely with the Medical Staff at the Bellingham Location. Potential for right candidate to progress quickly to executive management position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Achieve sales volume and customer contact targets in assigned territory, driven from both targeted and new customer leads.
Proactively identify, build, and maintain relationships with key decision makers in primary target market within assigned territory.
Conducts daily sales calls to establish new and maintain ongoing business with referral sources in the medical community
Create business plans for territory/assigned customer targets including, but not limited to opportunity development, competitive strategies and targets.
Effectively use sales process and leverage Company resources and approved product marketing and product promotion material to actively support the customer through their decision making process.
This is a developing territory, and will require a very driven and dependable individual who is able to independently manage their time with minimal supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of outside sales experience preferred
Prior healthcare experience a plus
Effective Oral and Written Communicator
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Proven, effective time management, expense reporting and prioritization skills
Effective presentation skills; able to present ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact
Outstanding influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive successful relationship building
Must be able to travel and interact with healthcare providers, business owners, and HR professionals at their locations.
Residence within the current geography or close proximity of the territory is required
Desired Experience:
Experience in cold calling and opening new accounts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in conducting in-services / presentations
Experience in making multiple referral calls to Medical Professionals on a daily basis
Experience in Business to Business outside sales
Computer proficiency especially in Google Docs, Sheets and email
Self starter, entrepreneurial spirit, attention to detail, well organized and strong problem-solving abilities
