Faber Construction based out of Lynden, WA is currently looking for an Experienced Flagger with a Traffic Control Supervisor License.
We are a local General Contractor based in Lynden, WA, that provides sitework construction services for an array of public, commercial and residential projects. This position requires a lot of physical labor and stamina. At times, responsible for supervising tasks related to vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic control operations related to road, bridge and highway heavy construction projects. Responsible for implementing and overseeing traffic control operations, lane closures, road closures, setting signs and devices, per Faber Construction and in compliance with local, state and federal rules and regulations. Will work near traffic and interact regularly with the public.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES to include, but not limited to:
Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed
Follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices
Safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area
Ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable company, local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area
Utilizes hand tools and non-complex small tools and performs minor maintenance as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid Traffic Control Supervisor’s Certification
Must be 18 years of with a high school diploma
Must have a valid driver’s license
Functions effectively as part of a team to keep traffic moving and have the ability to work and communicate well with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Own flagging equipment
PHYSICAL ABILITY:
Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pound objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw objects
Regularly required to stand for extended lengths of time
Regularly works near moving traffic and machines and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt
