Well established (1929) family owned Locksmith Company is looking for serious Locksmiths with high work ethics and capable independent worker that is mechanically inclined. Experienced Locksmiths preferred but will train the right apprentices. Service area includes 4 NW counties. Full Locksmith services from in the shop to on-site. Broad scope of work Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Auto. Work Schedule is Monday – Friday full time. Running After Hours calls from home, after probation period and experience level attained, required.
Compensation depends on experience and ability to do job. Benefits after probation period or years of service include, paid vacation, sick pay, holiday pay, Health Insurance allowance, etc.
Locksmith skills will require (or be trained for):
-Duplicate all sorts of keys and find their blanks
-Fit 1st key/ Rekey/ Service all sorts of locks from Residential to Commercial
-Order entry/ checking in orders/ tacking special orders
-Automotive work, Open locked cars/ Fit 1st key/ Rekey/ Service & knowledge of high security and Transponder technologies
-Computer skills and ability to use Office (Word and Excel critical) and various software
-Install/ Service all sorts of door hardware (Exit Devices, Door Closers, Mortise locks, Electrified locks etc.)
-Electrical Low voltage abilities are a plus
-Safe opening & servicing
-Creating and expanding master key systems
-Create, maintain detailed job information & required paper work
Job Requirements:
-Valid Driver’s License
-Clean, insurable, driving record
-Pass criminal background check (fingerprints required)
-Pass Drug / Alcohol test on request
-Good customer service skills, ability to act calmly & professionally
-Lift 50 pounds over head and lift 50 pounds frequently
-Fine motor skills & fingertip manipulation, hand/ eye coordination required
-Maintain work flow & concentration despite numerous interruptions, and multi-task
-Overtime required as workload requires
-Ability and willingness to run after hour calls from home, this is an On-Call position.
-Character references
-Organized and can keep to a schedule
-Clean and organize work space (in shop & service van)
-Computer/ IT skills, knowledge of Office 365 suite, etc.
