Small Bellingham maintenance company is seeking a qualified maintenance tech. Work duties include plumbing, light electrical, unclogging toilets, replacing blinds and doors, various kitchen remodel projects, building decks, replacing rotten wood, caulking, replacing hot water tanks, replacing interior or exterior doors, pressure washing, stripping parking areas, etc.
Must have the ability to "think out of the box" and troubleshoot non-common issues. Must be able to work fast and without much supervision. Must have a good working knowledge of tools and supplies needed for various jobs.
If interested, please submit a resume to this job posting. All jobs are in / around the Bellingham area. General work schedule is 8:30 to 5:00 with a 1/2 hour lunch break. Some weekends are required. Company does provide after-hours services for its clients and candidate must be able / willing to be on call every 3 weeks.
Qualified candidate must have a current driver's license, cell phone that can text and send pictures and own set of basic tools. Must be able to work fast and lift up to 50lbs (not necessarily at the same time!). A reliable vehicle is needed to get to the office each month. A company van will be used during the day for jobs.
Pay depends on experience. Pay range is from $20 to $30 / hour. Please indicate your required salary level. We are looking for a quality candidate and are willing to consider various salary ranges or other arrangements a qualified candidate may require (i.e. more time off, etc.).
This is a full-time position. Vacation pay eligible after 6 months of employment. Holiday pay is immediate. Job does not come with medical or dental insurance.
