This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time, permanent, Construction & Maintenance Project Specialist for Moran State Park located in San Juan County, Washington. This posting will remain open until filled. It is in the candidate's best interest to apply before July 9th, 2019, when a first review of applicants will be completed. The Construction & Maintenance Project Specialist provides day to day maintenance on all structures and campsites within the park area. This position provides the public with safe, well maintained facilities to enhance their recreation experience. They will be responsible for providing safe drinking water for 9 water systems within the area. This requires water licenses necessary to act as an operator in responsible charge as defined by the Washington State Department of Health.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Water system operations

General facilities maintenance

Equipment, vehicle, and vessel maintenance

Required Qualifications

Two (2) years as a Maintenance Mechanic 1 or similar construction experience OR

Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a journey-level worker in a construction or building trade. OR

Journey-level experience in two or more of the construction or building trades or four years of equivalent work experience. Vocational training up to two years may be substituted for the experience requirement.

AND

Valid unrestricted (except corrective lenses) driver's license.

First Aid & CPR certification must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.

Water treatment license must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
