The Boeing Company is currently seeking experienced Industrial Waste Treatment Plant Operators to join the team in one of the following locations: Seattle, WA; Renton, WA; Auburn; WA or Puyallup, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Operate water system (chemical feed systems, storage tank levels, filters, clear wells, control systems, etc.) to provide compliance with applicable state, county and federal and Boeing regulations
  • Respond to environmental hazard spills, working closely with Boeing and outside agencies emergency response units
  • Collect and analyzes samples required for compliance and process control
  • Perform maintenance of the water systems
  • Perform assigned general housekeeping duties
  • Maintain and calibrate hand-held and on-line monitoring equipment and treatment equipment as required
  • Follow Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, and report unsafe conditions
  • Take and record system operation readings according to prescribed schedules
  • Maintain daily logs, records plant operating data as required in logs and operations software
  • Effective, timely, and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers
  • Assist in repairs with other project staff
  • Perform other related functions assigned or as they become apparent
  • Prepare and maintain accurate paperwork such as records, logs, orders, surveys, and routine reports as directed
  • Perform standardized water process control, monitoring, and compliance sampling and testing
  • Collect water samples for analysis by state lab
  • This posting supports positions for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Waste Treatment Operator
  • Experience applying mathematical calculations
  • A current valid driver's license
  • High School diploma or GED


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with techniques, equipment and materials used in the mechanical maintenance and repair of related equipment and systems
  • Experience performing analysis of influent/effluent flows of waste liquids, to ensure safe (PH) potentials of hydrogen and heavy metal levels are maintained
  • Experience with the methods and precautions in storing and handling multiple industrial chemicals such as Ferrous sulfate, Lime, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sulfuric Acid etc.
  • Experience with health and safety regulations
  • Experience reading gauges and/or meters
  • Experience using mechanical skills, for making minor repairs to process equipment, piping, motors, etc.
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration and use
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with the operation of water treatment processes, well systems and water distribution system operation and repair
  • Water Treatment Plant license
