The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Global Environmental Engineer and Scientist Manager to join the team supporting the Boeing Enterprise and Boeing International Sites in either Renton, WA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Berkeley, MO; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Herndon, VA; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; or San Antonio, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees and first-level managers developing, implementing and supervising Company-wide environmental programs, evaluating design and operation of environmental equipment/systems, and incorporating regulatory requirements in operations
  • Develops and implements coordinated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and handles relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides mentorship and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers


This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes , lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in leading informal and/or formal teams
  • 3+ years of experience with environmental compliance or chemical regulations
  • 3+ years of experience in Risk Management
  • Travel 25% of the time both domestically and internationally


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience interfacing with internal and external leadership including facilities, operations, engineering, finance, legal and EHS
  • Strong skills in program management including to adherence to schedule and budget
