The candidate will lead the analysis, design, development and delivery of software applications, and support the necessary program operations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in building successful software teams, is able to operate independently while staying connected and collaborating heavily across a variety of stakeholder teams, that includes internal team members and on the customer side.General Dynamics Information Technology delivers next-generation IT solutions and services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and other Federal Health agencies. We are looking for a Technical Delivery Lead who will lead a team of software developers to develop innovative and advanced cloud solutions for performing complex tasks.In this role, a typical day will include:Represent and lead client meetings regarding new initiatives, development status and provide operational updates on a continuous basis.

Continuously strive for improvements to existing software applications, systems and services, and consistently bring in new innovative ideas to the team by assessing new and emerging technologies.

Drives the architecture of software applications and cloud solutions based on user requirements and functionality.

Champions the delivery of technical efforts from new vision development to final implementation.

Develops and enforces software development processes, procedures and best practices across the team.

Conduct design and code reviews to ensure design principles are followed.

Take ownership of ensuring proper testing occurs prior to software releases.

Participate actively in SAFe Agile ceremonies and related activities.

Develop, write, and present detailed technical solutions to solve open-ended business problems to technical and non-technical audiences.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience (Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related area is preferred).

10+ years of solid experience with full life-cycle software development, with 5+ years leading development teams in an Agile environment.

5+ years of experience with various languages, tools and technologies such as (Python, Apache Spark, SQL, etc.).

5+ years of experience working in an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment, developing and maintaining ETLs (using Teradata, Informatica, and UNIX).

1+ years of experience developing and managing AWS cloud environments (using AWS RedShift, Lambda, EC2, S3).

5+ years of experience with healthcare programs, including claims data processing.

Experience with product roadmaps and executing client implementations.

Experience working in an Agile development team.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.

Candidate must be able to come onsite (Windsor Mill, MD office) for key monthly customer meetings, and occasional meetings to collaborate with the internal team. Meetings onsite will be in accordance with customer or GDIT location related COVID guidelines.

Desired skills and experience:Experience leading, coaching and mentoring junior developers.

Experience developing and presenting solutions to complex, open-ended problems.

Experience proactively identifying and working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve data anomalies and data quality issues.

Strong understanding of CI/CD best practices, and experience with DevOps tools, Automation & Containerization.

Good knowledge of developing applications in a microservice architecture.

Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau.

Experience with AI/ML.
