SummaryAbout the position:This position will be assigned to the pool on Fairchild AFB, WA as a Lifeguard. This is a flexible position where the incumbent is scheduled anywhere from 0-40 hours.ResponsibilitiesContinuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail. Ensure pool water meets specified standards. Must have experience which provides a practical knowledge of swimming activities, rules and procedures.EducationSome federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
