Title: Avionics Technician (Bench Repair)Location: Federal Way, WADuration: 1-year contract then permanent hireCompensation : $22-25/hr startingStart Date: ASAPSchedule: Must be flexible, after initial training on day shift will likely move to 2p - 10p or 10p - 6a shiftJob Description:Aerotek is seeking to hire a Bench Avionics Technician to perform repair of communication, navigation, autopilot, multifunction displays, and other avionics equipment at the component and circuit card level. This is a contract position that leads to long-term hire with a prominent avionics company, withopportunities for advancement, raises, and excellent benefits.Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair customer returned component level equipment in accordance with approved documentation
Provide technical assistance and related support for modification campaigns and special investigations
Inform the Technical Support group of recurring failure modes, CMM errors, software problems and all other occurrences affecting the operation or the effectiveness of the FAA Repair Station
Document all repairs according to regulatory, customer and departmental requirements
Qualifications:4 years of recent avionics/electronics repair down to the circuit card and component level
Repair experience in one or more of the following technologies is highly desired - COM/NAV, Surveillance, Autopilot , Multifunction Displays
FCC license and/or Military Experience highly preferred
