Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring a Production Engineering Manager (Level K) to support the BCA Propulsion team in Everett and Kent, Washington.At the center of the efforts for BCA’s focus on stabilizing and improving the production system, our Production Engineering organization is growing! We are looking to fill a Propulsion Equipment and Tool Engineering K-level management position with a qualified candidate passionate about leading Boeing and Propulsion into the future.Candidates will be managing a team of engineers responsible for the sustainment and development of equipment and tooling solutions that directly support Propulsion Engine Build Up and Strut Build Up. The team supports all BCA production programs and we support the E&TE value stream from the engineering through to delivery of the tool or equipment to our factory customers. This leadership position will come with a need for adaptability and the ability to learn quickly are essential. We are looking for leaders who bring diverse perspectives, curiosity and creativity when approaching challenges, and an insatiable desire for improvement.Technical leadership and aptitude is essential for success in these roles along with the people leadership skills to develop and inspire a diverse team to reach a shared goal and vision. Strong candidates will have demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers, as well as strong problem solving skills, willingness to take initiative, and the ability to work across multiple functions to lead the development and implementation of production system solutions.This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.Position Responsibilities:Manage team performance of the Equipment and Tool Engineering value streams

Manage the prioritization and performance on Safety related improvements for production systems

Lead Lean process improvement for E&TE value stream through the conductance of Lean workshops and project management.

Lead special projects focused on product and service improvement that leverage lean process improvement practices through the conductance of lean workshops.

Perform Program management of annual and 3-5 year project portfolio for Propulsion E&TE

Establish 3-5 year performance goals for Propulsion E&TE

Support future business development activities with customers

Act as a process, product, and professional skill development coach and mentor

Oversee technical management of suppliers in the design, sourcing, and implementation of new technology into the production system.

Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports. Leverage network to seek broad input on key projects and initiatives.

Manage, develop and motivate employees to achieve their best as individuals and as a team

Work Authorization:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

3+ years of experience in a professional engineering role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience working in a production environment

Experience leading or managing teams

Experience working with cross-functional teams

ABET accredited degree
