Tasting Room Sales Associate
This is an exciting opportunity to join the hospitality team at The Walls, a Walla Walla winery located on 1015 W. Pine St. We are passionate about our wine and we are seeking motivated and energetic Tasting Room Sales Associates available for Thursday-Sunday shifts, will the primary focus on weekend work. Tasting Room Sales Associates responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Primary Responsibilities:
-Deliver superior customer service experiences to facilitate wine sales ( Wine training will be made available).
-Assist in all hospitality duties during tastings and events.
-Perform day-to-day tasting room floor operations.
-Facilitate client communication- written, email, and phone requests.
-Support inventory management.
-Assist with compiling customer orders and well as tracking receipt of wine.
-Encourage guests to join The Insiders and join our mailing list.
In addition to these primary duties, The Walls asks all of its employees to be willing to learn about varietals, vintages, and terroir that contribute to our wines, so as to help educate and engage with customers. Training and experience will be provided.
Experience and Qualifications:
-Prefer relevant wine and industry/tasting room/ sales experience.
-An interest in wine and the winemaking process.
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
-A friendly personality with enthusiasm and energy.
-Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain a Class 12 (MAST) permit and WA State Food workers card.
-Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
