Chinook Heating & Air is a growing HVAC company in the Tri-Cities. We are looking for experienced Service Technicians and Tune-Up Specialists to join our exceptional group. Please respond to this CL ad with a current resume if you are interested. No phone calls please.
Perform assigned service and warranty tasks in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
Required: High School Education or equivalent. Preferred: Degree from an accredited college or trade school in HVAC service or installation.
Three or more years in a service technician position with experience in the HVAC or refrigeration industry. Must have 06A and EPA cards.
Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record.
Diagnose problems, replace parts, and repair HVAC equipment on field assignments.
Perform on-call responsibilities for night and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
Willing to learn and work on a variety of equipment both residential and commercial.
Handle assigned field calls according to priority set by dispatcher or administration.
Manage time for efficient travel to and completion of field assignments.
Submit accurate invoices on a timely basis.
Cooperate with dispatchers and keep them informed of activity and whereabouts.
Sell service agreements, equipment and add-ons to residential customers.
Display a professional attitude, conduct, and appearance.
Determine problems related to design and construction of HVAC systems,
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, sometimes in small spaces.
Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Communicate effectively in written and spoken English to prepare, write, and read reports. Must be able to read specs and blue prints and installation plans.
Work in outside weather conditions and be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
