Mechanic Needed:
Able to diagnose, maintain and repair electric, gasoline and diesel engines on company trucks, loaders and forklifts, following manuals and using handtools, power tools. Knowledge of electrical, power transmission, brake and other automotive systems necessary. Receive and process orders and observes and listens to truck in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures. Visually inspect and test equipment including diesel tractors, trailers, propane forklifts and bobcats, noting and making any necessary repairs. Able to install new ignition systems, changes or recharges batteries. Examines protective guards, loose belts and specified devices on trucks and makes adjustments, using hand tools. Lubricates moving parts. May fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields or devices according to equipment manuals.
