What we are looking for in a great team member:Excellent customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality

Great interpersonal & conversational skills; teamwork-oriented and detail focused

Maintain a positive attitude

Basic computer, cash handing, Point-Of-Sale knowledge preferred

Ability to take direction and work in a fast paced environment

Ability to multitask

Knowledge of catering set-up and service preferred

Familiarity of online food ordering, inventory systems/processes (Preferred)

Adherence to all VMFH policies, procedures and best practices

Job Summary:Prepares and sets up food, supplies and nourishment for patients in accordance with recognized safety, sanitation and food-handling standards and procedures. Delivers food trays to patients in rooms as required.Essential Duties:Serves food in accordance with recognized safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards and procedures.

Assists other department areas to maintain proper levels of stock and services.

Follows department and government safety and sanitation standards.

Maintains a “clean as you go” workspace.

QualificationsEducation/Work Experience Requirements:Six months recent work experience in a healthcare field and/or large-volume food preparation that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilitiesLicensure/CertificationCurrent Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card is required.For Dietary Aide-Lead: Advanced Food Safety Certification (available from NEHA or ServeSafe) must be obtained within 90 days of working in a lead position, and will be verified by department management.If assigned catering delivery duties:Current Washington State Driver’s License, subject to state vehicle verification to comply with hospital insurance requirements.Equal OpportunityCommonSpirit Health™ is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer committed toa diverse and inclusive workforce.
