Adams County Public Works is seeking a Maintenance Worker I for the Othello area.

Job Description
Duties include maintaining and repairing of county roads and structures while doing repetitive labor activities using hand and power tools. Work requires the operation of trucks, loaders, backhoes, motor graders, sweepers, rollers and similar maintenance equipment, and other specialized equipment while completing tasks.
Skills
Maintain county roads and structures
Load, transport, unload and apply road materials
Operate appropriate equipment on roadway to complete tasks
Snow removal
Assist mechanics as needed
Perform preventative maintenance and flagging duties as needed
Install and repair culverts
Requirements
Must possess a valid Washington State Class "A" commercial driver's license (CDL)
Must possess a current Washington State Flagging and Traffic Control Card
Must be able to obtain a Medic First Aid (CPR inclusive) card within the probationary period
Able to work in all types of weather conditions
Wages and Benefits
Wage range $16.62-$22.62
Cost of living increases as well as pay scale increases
Ten regular paid holidays are offered
Two floating holidays each year
Sick leave and vacation time accrued monthly

Hours of Work
Forty (40) hours per week
Monday thru Friday November-March; April thru October four 10-hour days
