This position is a long-term contract and is 100% remote! This position is open to any qualified candidates in the United States, but accepted candidates should expect to work on PST hours.Job Summary:
The advanced Java Application Developer supports the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of all Java applications/systems for large complex modifications and new functionality with little to no instructions using highly skilled application development languages. You will follow the requirement and documentation standards from our client and will also be the primary developer on the Violator Management (VIP), Field Discipline, Prison Discipline, Prison Movement, Supervision Activity, Needs/Goals, Behavior Targets, Security Threat Group (STG), Behavior and Safety Concerns, and the Assignment Page areas of the Offender Management Network Information (OMNI).Job Responsibilities:
You will code functionality by creating new OMNI modules as the agency identifies new use cases for the application. Our client fulfills its mission through the OMNI application by managing facilities, treatments, sentencing, movements, disciplines, and other important/reliable data (which is accessed by many criminal justice stakeholders) on Incarcerated Individuals and Supervised Individuals. This position streamlines major internal business processes through the OMNI application and boosts the productivity of staff. This position requires enhanced analytical and programming skills to develop high-quality Java code for the OMNI application. This position supports ongoing application development and maintenance activities pertaining to scope, objectives, estimates, unit testing, design, and coding.
