Broadband Technician and Customer Service Representative

Nikola Broadband is looking for a full or part-time Broadband Technician/Customer Service rep.

The person, or persons, we are looking to hire for this job will be computer literate, and should be also be a SELF STARTER.

Job duties may rotate with other personnel as required.

Responsibilities will include:

Supporting both fixed wireless broadband, and fiber-optic internet installations

Assisting customers with computer, email, and internet enabled device configurations

Speak with customers on the phone, and in person, to provide Broadband service and troubleshooting

Maintain a positive image of Nikola Broadband and its affiliates

Assisting in the documentation, and improvement, of all our existing customer support systems and processes

Keeping current on technologies as they are now used, or anticipated to be used by Nikola Broadband

Salary: Full-time entry level at the help desk starts at $17-22/hr

More advanced organizational roles negotiable based on availability, experience, and skill set

Minimum Requirements:

Solid troubleshooting and communication skills

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Nothing that would disqualify a candidate from being insurable while driving a company vehicle, or having access to sensitive records.

Our preferred candidates will also have the following qualifications:

Specific interest in and knowledge of: wireless radio and fiber-optic broadband deployments, if desiring to advance to a field technician and operations role

AND/OR

Specific interest in and knowledge of: system administration, carrier grade networking, and information security, if desiring to advance to a network engineer role

Hours are Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Entry level employment does not require being on-call after hours or on weekends, however all other job titles do require participation in an on-call rotation schedule.
