Jamestown Excavating is searching for an Excavating Office Manager! This position is responsible for providing support to the Excavating Division Manager as well as key stakeholders working on excavating projects. This position fulfills the administrative functions, data entry, contract coordination and clerical tasks, while maintaining professional working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
This is a part-time role, that includes a 20-hour per week schedule. Starting wage is dependent on experience.

As a Excavating Office Manager, you will:
Process time cards on a weekly basis
Assist with recruiting, hiring, and the on-boarding process
Data entry as required
Coordinate marketing efforts as needed
Order office supplies and supervise office organization
Coordinate special meetings and functions
Provide support to field personnel (project) and staff when necessary
Maintain safety records and reporting procedures
Manage client accounts
Maintain Job Board
Track Equipment Hours and Maintenance
Adhere to all EDA policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan
Perform other duties as assigned
What are the Required Qualifications for this position?
GED or High School Diploma required, Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Computer proficiency at Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication
Must be able to travel to local offices and/or job-sites
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to successfully pass criminal background investigation
What are the Preferred Qualifications for this position?
Three (3) years support experience in construction industry
Experience working on commercial construction projects for general contractors
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply
What are the Physical Requirements and Working Conditions for this position?
Must be available to work any shift (to include all hours, weekends, and/or holidays as job duties require)
Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted
Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position
Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, squatting and twisting without restriction
Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
Must have the ability to reach at or below/above shoulder level on a continuous basis
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
