HOPE Center is searching for an Operations Manager
The HOPE Center is looking for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing our thrift store and managing the employment training managers of the Hope at Work Program. You will be working alongside our Program Manager and answering directly to our Executive Director.
To succeed in this role, you must have expertise with managing store product, along with practical experience with managing and training staff with a broad spectrum of abilities and personalities. A committed Christian with a deep desire to serve others in an important ministry will find this a rewarding and challenging role. Thrift store experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Recruit and schedule volunteers for Hope Center Thrift Store.
Schedule for all employees (Except ED and Office Admin) to be printed weekly.
Find or cover for last minute emergencies or sick days and arrange for coverage for all requested vacations.
Be the contact point for all call outs or incomplete shifts. Record Participant's attendance and conduct issues and facilitate meetings to discuss the issues.
Provide training as needed for a variety of skill levels.
Supervise, train, and evaluate thrift store managers. Understand the process and goals of each thrift store manager.
Provide leadership and direction for the thrift store managers and make decisions that will maintain and grow the thrift store.
Become familiar with all thrift store operations and available to fill in or assist when necessary.
Oversee staff performance and adherence to systems, policies, and procedures.
Retain high-performing staff.
Evening Cashiers - vet and hire.
Work with the Executive Director to utilize and analyze sales reports for optimal store performance.
Set procedures and processes to assure good stewardship of all thrift store donations.
Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the HOPE center.
Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position - 40 hours/ week.
Training will be provided.
3-month probationary period.
Salary DOE $30,000-$40,000 annually
