We're currently seeking a Project Coordinator/ Office Assistant Position (part-time) to participate in various projects and assignments. We work with local governments in the region. The position is intended to participate in some planning project activities with a primary focus on a safety campaign outreach efforts for the region. The position is expected to meet and exceed the project deliverables with the local community and Washington State University (WSU) community. Additional responsibilities will be added to the position as needed. Appropriate training and guidance will be provided throughout the employment.

Job Description:

• Administer and support day to day business operations of the office (paper filings, office management, reception, answering phones, etc) and other duties as requested by the director.

• Conduct various in person, phone and email outreaches within the community- citizens, residents, Local and state government officials, and WSU community

• Help organize a public event/ Information booth at various local and regional community events to gain input and distribute safety messages and materials

• Assist in Creating visual and drafting software related displays and online interactive web maps

• Travel to meet clients and stakeholders to spread project awareness and ensure their active participation throughout the project duration

• Send out periodic project update to the community including keeping up with various online social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.

• Create, track and maintain various databases for the region

• Any other project related duties as a project progresses

• Write various professional reports as needed.

Job Qualification

• Associates or a bachelors degree or equivalent

• Excellent report writing skills

• Some community planning background will be preferred

• Experience in social media and public events handling 6 months to 2 years is desired

• Office administration experience of 2 years is desired

• Experience in organizing and hosting successful public/private events and its coordination

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent hands-on experience with MS Office (Excel, word, and publication)

• Some knowledge of website building will be preferred (appropriate training may be provided)

• Some knowledge of managing various social media accounts will be preferred.
