Q Analysts is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our research oriented data collection team. Our team applies a range of software, hardware and computer vision techniques to build systems and tools that enable future technologies in virtual and augmented reality and associated algorithms.
Your primary responsibilities will focus on managing projects assigned by the engineering teams to the data collection teams managed by Q Analysts. By understanding the collected data and lab, internal and external environments used to perform that collection, you will communicate with these teams on prioritizing critical issues, following up with urgent tasks and deadlines, manage scheduling of blockers, and report project health status to stakeholders and the team. You will collaborate with engineers and research scientists and you will learn and help your teams execute techniques for evaluating prototype systems, processing test data and documenting results. The data collection includes a range of AR and VR devices, mobile phones, cameras and sensors. Finally this role will serve as a right hand to the overall engagement manager on this project for Q Analysts.

Three core areas for this role include:
•Client Engagement: Regular connection on client driven requests, feedback, strategy and planning
•Employee Management: People management, 1-1's, career development, daily administration, hiring and firing.
•Project Oversight: Creating project plans, assigning tasks to Project Coordinators and data collection technicians, monitoring results, run dash-boarding needs, Report updates monthly, contribute to QBRs

Tasks include:
  • Drive and own communication across engineering groups on all critical issues and tasks
  • Manage data collection team setup, schedules, travel when permissible, logistics, technology needs and workload balancing
  • Prioritize blocking issues and follow up with project scheduling and delivery
  • Analyze data collection operations and build reports/dashboards
Qualifications
  • Proven experience handing prioritization of project issues, and see through the completion of resolved issues
  • Experience with data collections at scale for AI systems
  • Coding experience highly preferred
  • Strong experience dealing with engineering teams preferably in research and development
  • Extreme attention to detail, organization
  • Strong people management skills
  • Strong communication skills across teams and organizations
  • Must adapt quickly to technical jargon and new technologies
  • Familiar with executing simple scripts, data transfer on Linux devices
  • Good business sense to help us grow our relationship with the Client
