Kids Co. is seeking experienced Program Managers to add to our talented and dedicated team of childcare professionals starting August 1, 2019. This is an extraordinary opportunity to lead a school-age program that is child-centered and family friendly. This position requires a high-level of administrative skill and leadership capabilities.

Kids Co. is a local non-profit organization providing high quality, affordable child care since 1989. We are based in Seattle and Mercer Island with 14 locations onsite at public schools. Kids Co. primarily serves children 5-12 years old in its before- and after-school programs. We provide year round programming and care during school breaks (i.e., winter, spring, mid-winter, summer, etc.). The Program Manager is responsible for leading the school-age staff in creating a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for the children and families. S/he will manage the daily operations of the center while promoting high quality programming and interactions.

The qualified candidate will:

Be committed to helping Kids Co. continue to set the standard for high quality child care at every level.

Provide effective leadership competencies working with individuals and teams.

Be socially appropriate, adaptable and show professional maturity under pressure.

Possess an advanced ability to provide overall supervision and guidance of staff.

Be a resource and role model to staff regarding curriculum, behavior management techniques, etc.

Communicate professionally with staff, families, children, and school community.

Serve in a leadership capacity to promote Kids Co. to the host school, parents and the community at large.

Be able to develop and execute center budget.

Have the ability to market/promote programs to school and community at large.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

BS/BA in Child and Youth Development, Elementary Education, or a related field/ or a minimum of 45 school age related college credits required.

A minimum of 3 years experience working in school-age programs and a minimum of 2 years managing a child care program.

Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This job requires occasional local travel and evening meetings.

This is a full-time salaried position. Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, FSA, 403(b). Generous paid time off, sick leave, and vacation, as well as 11 paid holidays. Education reimbursement after 1 year of employment.
