Weyerhaeuser Company is proud to offer three tracts of accounting internships for Summer 2020:
In the financial/managerial accounting tract,you will be a contributor in an organization that records, verifies and reports our financial results, while providing key analysis and recommendations to leaders and decision makers. You will have the opportunity to perform financial closing activities, analyze financial results, prepare and present working papers with accurate supporting documentation, as well as participate in special projects.
In the income tax compliance tract, you will be a member of the team responsible for the federal and state income tax compliance of our company and its subsidiaries. You will have the opportunity to assist in the preparation of our consolidated federal and state income tax returns, including researching and analyzing tax issues and incorporating law changes into the filings.
In the internal audit tract, you will have a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the enterprise as whole. In this role, you will see first-hand the financial and operational activities performed in our different business segments. With visibility of the entire company, you can make an immediate impact by helping our team deliver assurance and recommendations that provide value to management and the Board of Directors.Our internship program provides opportunities to meet and network with great professionals across our company, including leaders from our businesses and corporate functions. We emphasize providing opportunities outside of the core work to get exposure to everything our company has to offer, including visibility to future and/or alternate career paths. Successful internships can lead to full time offers of post-graduation employment.
Education: You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and at the time of the internship (Summer 2020) will be one year or less away from graduation and starting your accounting career.Systems: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Office products is key.
