DAYS - ON SITE POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

Under the direction of the Assistant Administrator, Surgical Specialties, this position provides leadership and coordination for a subset of UWMC's Surgical clinics

Responsibility spans across Montlake and Northwest campuses

Oversight of the operational and human resource aspects of outpatient surgical clinic care including financial decisions, contracting, budgeting, coordination with Financial Authorizations, and Surgical services

Leads a team of 160 staff members across at 4 locations of various job title

4 Health Services Managers directly report to this role DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW MEDICAL CENTER SURGICAL SPECIALTY CLINICS PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Works collaboratively with nursing leaders, operations leaders, medical providers, and other departments such as IT, and revenue cycle in efforts to coordinate process, patient flow, and access

Assures cost effective delivery of quality patient care outcomes

Promotes excellence in patient care delivery and outcomes

Assesses need for and seeks input to determine that safe and effective equipment and supplies are available for patient care and approved by nursing leadership and clinical engineering

Works to achieve the organization’s mission and goals

Works collaboratively with patients, family, and caregivers to provide for patients’ needs

Identifies quality benchmarks, assesses departmental performance and designs improvement plans REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

4-5 years experience working in an Ambulatory Care Division

2-3 Years leading in an Ambulatory Care Division with Operational Clinic management experience

Experience with data analysis (proficiency with Excel)

Ability to draft communications and presentations to senior level leaders within the organization (proficiency with PowerPoint)

Experience with Financial Clearance/Prior Authorizations
